The Streak extension updates automatically in the background to ensure optimal performance. However, in rare cases where updates are not applied correctly, you may need to manually update to the latest version.
Before updating the Streak extension, ensure your browser is updated to its latest version.
Chrome
To ensure you're on the latest version of Streak on Chrome:
Navigate to chrome://extensions (you can copy and paste that into your address bar)
Toggle on Developer mode at the top right of the Extensions page
Click on the Update button
Refresh your Gmail page
Alternatively, you can refresh your browser window to load the updated Streak extension automatically.
Note: The version shown in the screenshot above may no longer be accurate if a new version is available.
Safari
To ensure you're on the latest version of Streak on Safari:
Navigate to the Safari menu -> Safari Extensions
Search for "Streak for Safari"
Click on the Update button
Alternatively, you can open the App Store from the Apple menu, navigate to the Updates section, and install updates for the Streak extension.
If Streak no longer appears in your Gmail after the update, you may need to re-enable the extension:
Navigate to the Safari menu -> Settings
Click on the "Extensions" tab
Make sure Streak is enabled in the settings
