Magic Columns are fields that Streak automatically populates for you. Unlike custom columns — where you enter data manually — Magic Columns pull in system-generated data in real time, with no input required. When you add a Magic Column to a pipeline, every box in that pipeline inherits the field automatically. Magic Column data also appears in your Gmail sidebar for any email added to that pipeline.
Note: Magic Column data is system-generated and cannot be edited manually. Removing a Magic Column from your pipeline will not delete the underlying data.
Why Use Magic Columns?
Magic Columns keep your pipeline up to date without any extra work. Because data is captured automatically, you can filter, sort, and group your pipeline by any Magic Column the moment you add it.
For example, you could filter your pipeline to show only deals that haven't had any email activity in the last week — with no manual updates needed.
For customized data that you record yourself, like Deal Size, Location, and Industry, check out Custom Columns.

Open your pipeline.
Click the + button in the top-right where your column headers are located, or right-click any existing column header to access the Column dropdown menu

Magic Column Types
General
Track activity and metadata about each box — including the last interaction date and type, when the box was last updated, last stage change, days in stage, freshness, total activity count, and an AI-generated summary of box activity. Also tracks box-level data like who created it, date created, followers, follower count, comment count, file count, and a unique ID.
Emails
Surface email activity across sent, received, and all messages in a box. Includes sent email count, last and first email sent, received email count, last and first email received, thread count, message count, and the email addresses of all recipients, the last email from, and the first email from.
Email tracking
Track engagement on the most recently sent tracked email in a box. Includes total tracked views, date of last tracked view, total links clicked, and date of last link clicked.
Tasks
Monitor task progress across each box. Covers all tasks (assignees, task count, next task due), completed tasks (completed task count, percent completed), incomplete tasks (incomplete task count, incomplete task assignees), and overdue tasks (overdue task count, overdue task assignees, most overdue task).
Calls and meetings
Surface call log and meeting note activity on each box. For call logs: call log count, last call log, first call log, and total call log duration. For meeting notes: meeting count, last meeting, first meeting, and total meeting duration.
Linked boxes
Track relationships between boxes across your pipelines. Useful for surfacing connected records without duplicating data.
