Streak has two types of API keys:
Personal API keys — authenticate as yourself. Any pipelines you have access to are also available from the API.
Team API keys — let a team owner authenticate on behalf of any user on the team, without creating a separate key for each person.
Be sure to keep your API keys secret and only share them with applications you consider safe. If you feel or suspect an API key of yours has been compromised, you can delete it and create a new one.
Generate a new API key
Click on the Streak icon in Gmail's left-hand side bar
2. Select the Integrations option, the first icon in the Home page top bar. This will open a window where you can view existing integrations and create new API keys.
3. Select the Custom Integrations option from the sidebar window.
4. Under Personal keys or Team keys, click Create new key.
Only team owners see the option to create a team API key. Actions taken with a personal API key are always attributed to the key's owner. Actions taken with a team API key can be attributed to any active member of the team.
Use a team API key to act on behalf of another user
To act on behalf of a team member, send your API requests with basic auth and these values:
Username: the team member's email address
Password: the team API key
Streak then treats each request as if that team member made it. For example, if you create a call log this way, that team member is the call log's author.
