In this article:

You can pause messages for an entire mail merge or hit pause for individual recipients after scheduling a mail merge.

When you’re ready to start sending messages again, just resume the mail merge. Streak will send any messages that were scheduled to go out during the pause at that moment.

Pause an active mail merge

To pause and resume all scheduled messages in an active mail merge:

  1. Open the Mail Merges page in the left-hand menu in Gmail

  2. Select the mail merge in the My Mail Merges list.

  3. Click the pause button in the top right corner.

Pause messages for an individual recipient

You can pause scheduled messages for an individual recipient without affecting the rest of the mail merge.

To pause messages for an individual recipient:

  1. Open the Mail Merges page in the left-hand menu in Gmail

  2. Select the mail merge in the My Mail Merges list

  3. Click In Progress in the Status column for the individual recipient

  4. Select Pause in the status menu

Resume all messages in your mail merge

Once you resume a mail merge or messages for an individual recipient, Streak will send any messages that were scheduled during the pause. It will only send the next follow-up email that was previously scheduled. The remaining follow-up emails will not be sent immediately as they will follow the delay you've set between each follow-up email.

To resume a mail merge:

  1. Select the paused mail merge that you want to resume under the My Mail Merges list

  2. Click the resume button in the top right corner or in the banner

If you previously paused messages for an individual recipient, they will remain paused for that person.

Resuming messages for an individual recipient

To continue sending messages to an individual person in your mail merge:

  1. Open My Mail Merges list under All Mail Merges

  2. Select the mail merge in the My Mail Merges list

  3. Click “Paused” in the Status column for the individual recipient

  4. Select Resume in the status menu
