Customize stages and columns to match your team's process. Edit them anytime as your workflow shifts or the data you need to track changes.

Adding, removing, and reordering stages

Stages represent the steps a box moves through in your workflow. For more on how stages fit into pipeline structure, see What is a pipeline?.

To add, edit, or remove pipeline stages:

  1. Click the three-dot menu at the top right of your pipeline

  2. Select Stages and columns

  3. Open the Stages tab

From the Stages tab, you can:

  • Drag stages to reorder them

  • Rename a stage by clicking its name

  • Add a stage from the + Add stage button

  • Remove a stage by hovering over it and selecting the trash icon

  • Choose a color theme for the pipeline, or recolor individual stages

Edits auto-save as you make them.

Adding columns

Columns store data about each box in your pipeline.

To add a new column:

  1. Right-click any existing column header, or click the dropdown arrow next to the column name

  2. Select Insert new column

  3. Choose a column type and name your column

For more on column types and what each one does, see what are custom columns.

Edit or remove columns

To edit or remove existing columns:

  1. Click the three-dot menu at the top right of your pipeline

  2. Select Stages and columns

  3. Open the Columns tab

From the Columns tab, you can:

  • Rename custom columns

  • Reorder columns

  • Hide or freeze columns

  • Remove columns

💡 Pro tip: Hold Shift or Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) to select multiple columns at once and move, freeze, or hide them in bulk.

⚠️ Note: Deleting a column permanently removes all data in that column across every box. This cannot be undone. You'll need Admin access on the pipeline to delete a column.

Edits auto-save as you make them and apply to your pipeline in real time.
